Description This is a digitized composition, primary market fine art asset from an original digital illustration originally designed for the Kismet, Way Of the Sword tarocchi deck which maintains a similar theme throughout all 80 digital illustrations.
Theme Highlights Typically shown as a Jester or The Fool, the harlequin character shown here, Kismet, is one of several harlequin’s throughout the series.
Kismet’s trunk is always packed for the next adventure and carries a sword or large key because Kismet’s travels and risks have brought large knowledge - a key to making new decisions while remembering to be fierce as the sword. A crow flies along for the ride paying his way by revealing omens.
The Day When Dante Went to Hell Thursday was Dantedì (Dante’s Day): 25 March in Florence, Italy. It is unanimously recognized as the starting day of Dante’s trip through the underworld. It lasts seven days, so we expect him in Paradise by next Monday.
This piece depicts a visionary perspective in relation to the metaphysics of the divine wisdom derived from the harlequin, Dante Alighieri and Virgil's adventures. Kismet harlequin symbolizes a soul’s journey; fate, destiny. Here we see a play, a stage, a scene of possibilities, affirmations and mythological messages powered by belief. The name Harlequin, derived from a demon called Alichino, was cited by Dante Alighieri in Inferno part of the "Divine Comedy." Alichino, a member of the Malebranche's mission is to guard Bolgia Five in the Eighth Circle, the Malebolge - the eighth circle of Hell.
